Dear Colleagues:
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the International Neuropsychological Society Mid -Year meeting that will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 2- 5, 2008. This meeting will be jointly held with the Argentine Neuropsychological Society (SONEPSA)
The theme of the meeting is “New Paradigms in Neuropsychology: Cognition, Behavior and Emotion” and it intends to cover the most relevant changes that have taken place in the last decade, such as the growing interest on social cognition, emotion and psychiatric illnesses, and the importance of genetics, neural plasticity and functional neuroimaging. A multi-disciplinary spirit will be the basis of the meeting. We invite colleagues from the neuroscientific community, such as neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, speech therapists, linguists, to participate actively and to submit proposals for symposia, oral presentations and posters. The interaction with colleagues from many different countries will undoubtedly stimulate a creative exchange of ideas and will be personally rewarding.
This is the first time that INS Mid-Year meeting will take place in Argentina. It will be a great opportunity to visit its renowned capital city as well as many other natural wonders. Buenos Aires is a modern, dynamic and radiant city that features the European architecture of its founders. It has an intense cultural life, with numerous museums, art galleries, theaters, restaurants and cafes, and the famous “Milongas” where not only you can dance but also enjoy the tango orchestras playing live.
The superb scientific program, the exciting social activities coupled with the beautiful surroundings of Buenos Aires will make this meeting a memorable experience
We look forward to welcoming you in Buenos Aires in 2008

Dermabrasion is most often used to improve the look of facial skin left scarred by accidents or previous surgery, or to smooth out fine facial wrinkles, such as those around the mouth.
Side effects of Laser Hair Removal treatments may include pain, perifollicular edema (swelling around the hair follicle due to excessive fluid), and erythema (redness and inflammation) lasting one to three days.
It is important to distinguish the terms "plastic surgery" and "Cosmetic Surgery": Plastic Surgery is a recognized surgical specialty and is defined as the subspecialty dedicated to the surgical repair of defects of form or function -- this includes cosmetic (or aesthetic) surgery, as well as reconstructive surgery.
In general, chemical peel is used more often to treat fine wrinkles, and Dermabrasion and dermaplaning for deeper imperfections such as acne scars.
These prices are non inclusive of anesthesia, operating room facility or any other associated costs. Most medical insurance providers do not cover Mole Removal as it is classified under the cosmetic surgery category. Financing options are sometimes available for Mole Removal surgery.
There are other methods of Tattoo Removal, but most of them are so painful and ineffective that laser removal replaced them as soon as it became available. These other methods include dermabrasion, which would actually “sand” away the top layer of skin through abrasive friction.
Patients who agree to have inlays or onlays in place of traditional fillings should understand that their chosen Tooth Restoration method could cause them to make several visit to the dentist's office.
The surgeon may also reduce the size of and change the shape of the areola or nipples. Both men and women typically have restored confidence, as well. It is often mentioned that patients who have received Breast Reductions are the happiest and most satisfied of all plastic surgery recipients.
While statistics on any botched plastic surgery procedures are rare, the comparable rate of satisfaction for other commonly performed cosmetic plastic surgery procedures in the United States is about the same or slightly less than Labiaplasty.
Abdominal flaps The abdominal flap for Breast Reconstruction is the TRAM flap or its technically distinct variants the DIEP/SIEP flaps. Both use the abdominal tissue between the umbilicus and the pubis.
Laser Hair Removal has become extremely popular because of its speed and efficacy, although some of the efficacy is dependent upon the skill and experience of the laser operator, and the choice and availability of different laser technology at the clinic which is performing the procedure.
Laser Dentistry comes to the aid of the dentist doing that procedure, the removal of mucosa from an unruptured tooth.
Some types of Chemical Peels can be purchased and administered without a medical license, however people are advised to seek professional help from a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, maxillofacial surgeon, or otolaryngologist on a specific type of Chemical Peel before a procedure is performed.
This is the preferred technique for high-volume Liposuction by many plastic surgeons as it better balances hemostasis and potential fluid overload (as with the tumescent technique).
Most Otoplasty surgery is performed as a outpatient surgery, some requires a hospital stay. The procedure can take from two to five hours depending on the problem.
Laser Tattoo Removal often requires many repeated visits to remove even a small tattoo, and may result in permanent scarring. The newer Q-switched lasers are said by the National Institute of Health to result in scarring only rarely, however, and are usually used only after a topical anesthetic has been applied.
Sclerotherapy should be done under ultrasound guidance after venous abnormalities have been diagnosed with duplex ultrasound. Sclerotherapy under ultrasound guidance and using microfoam sclerosants has been shown to be effective in controlling reflux from the sapheno-femoral and sapheno-popliteal junctions.
Since hair naturally grows in follicles that contain groupings of 1 to 4 hairs, today’s most advanced techniques transplant these naturally occurring 1 – 4 hair "follicular units" in their natural groupings. Thus modern Hair Transplantation can achieve a natural appearance by mimicking nature hair for hair.
Eyelash Extensions are great for everyday wear or special occassions. Eyelash Extensions have gained a tremendous amount of popularity in the last couple of years because the look acheived is so natural.
Laser and light-based methods, sometimes called phototricholysis or photoepilation, are now most commonly referred to collectively as "Laser Hair Removal". One of the first published articles describing Laser Hair Removal was authored by the group at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1998.
